Provide First Aid

This 5 hour face to face course is ideal for Parents & Caregivers.  All participants will receive a Nationally Recognised First Aid Certificate HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.  In addition to the base requirements for this course this course will cover more detail around first aid care for babies and children including:

* CPR for babies and children

* How to handle choking

* Signs & symptoms of a sick baby/child and when to seek medical help

* Seizures and febrile convulsions

* Asthma & Anaphylaxis

* Many more important first aid topics

​Each participant will receive a First Aid Kit and a Course Manual.  Light refreshments will be provided.  There will be a 20 minute break for lunch. A fridge and microwave is available in the room or a range of food outlets and coffee shops are available nearby.

This short course is delivered using a blended learning approach, combining the benefits of both face to face and online learning.  You will attend an in-person session to engage in practical activities and assessments and direct support from your trainer.  Ideally prior to this session you will complete online learning tasks at home, such as watching videos, reading course materials and completing theory assessments.  A link will be emailed you to access the online training within 24 hours of booking. This should be completed before the course or late bookings can be completed within 48 hours of doing the course).
